So this is an about half a year old piece.

I always wanted to do an shiny vehicle rendering, so this is my attempt. It took me a few days to finish it. The Vehicle is based on a pencil sketch but the Background is an image from stockxchng, though i edited it pretty much.
The Vehicle itself is some kind of an futuristic 3 wheeled thing, i didnt care too much about how it could drive because the main goal was that it looks cool. I hope i achieved this,..and i also hope that you like it,.alle critics and comments are welcome as always =)

regards

Kimons biggest Victory

Hi Everyone!

Much time has passed since my last submission but this is a work that i wanted to share with you!

At firsth the standard Facts for those who dont want to read much hehe:

Full Resolution Image:
http://cdn.virb.com/cdnImages/noResize/Image-94141-805613-KimonsbiggestVictoryFullResolution.jpg

Time needed: I think about 30 hours or so,..spread over nearly 4 weeks,..(holiday season)

Title: Kimons biggest victory
(i chose the title myself as the title of the story would contain some information the author doesnt want to spoil ;-), i apologize)

Its the Cover Art for an Halo Fan Fiction Project about which i cant tell much,..a friend of mine is writing the story. The Artwork reflects one of the more important moments in the Story, a story about an Sangheili (better known as "Elite") from the Halo Universe.

I tried to reach a good amount of details in this piece,..also experimented with new techniques (at least for me) for texturing, lighting and shading things like scratches and so on. Also some experimenting with depth of field effect,.i hope its not too dominant in the picture. The scene is described relatively detailed in the story,.but i lets also a good amount of free room for intepretation,..so it was fun to create a interesting picture to look at (well, at least i hope so ;-) ). Well,..for things like Materials, Color Palette and so on the Halo Universe is full of great reference material so it was more of an choosing-process rather then inventing.

Well,..i think my own personal main goal was to create an Halo Artwork that has at least a little bit of the awesomeness (i hope thats an english word) of the Stuff seen in the Halo Graphic Novel, the Halo Zune gallery and so much other great sources of Halo Artwork, and the games of course. I hope ive achieved this goal =).

So as i dont want to write here a book and bother you with my passion for Halo ill stop at this Point. Any critics and comments are greatly appreciated. Greetz to all Halo fans out there and to all People involved in this great Franchsie, all Bungie folks (thx for Halo an everything else), and of course to the great community here at CG Talk!

Best Regards
Zrinko

Bleak Wasteland

Hi!

With this image i tried to improve my Brushwork and to improve my speed. I hope theres a visible improvement compared to my older work. Entirely made with Photoshop CS2.

Now to the image itself....
The mood i tried to create is inspired by the thought of how an living being who has to work every day for its whole live there would think about the moment.

Another cheerless, bleak day. The same narcotic haze as usual laying over the wasteland. The only sign of life are the other facilities , exhausting the same contaminating smoke from their huge chimneys. The nature has to and had to suffer much for the irresistible craving after energy. And once again, rain is coming from the horizon...

i´m not the best storyteller so i want to excuse in advance hehe....just wanted to explain what i would fell when i would be there. Feel free to make your own version of the history of the image....any sort of crits&comments is welcome,..

best regards

Audi TT Re-Design

Hi!

I´ve just finished this work. Primary i wanted to improve my vehicle rendering skills, because i have to build up a good portfolio for my application to industrial design school in Graz/Austria.

The initial linework was done at paper and the rest in Photoshop.

Ive chosen an Audi as Motive, since they are beatiful an stylish cars. Also theyre not too organic so it was easier for me.

I think ive achieved my objective since with this piece i´ve pretty improved myself. But thats just an early Step so there are sure enough Points to be critisized by you, HeHe,

The graphics above the cars should symbolize the contrast between rough sharp edged design and flowing , more organic curves in the design of this car. But thats just an detail.

So all Crits & Commets are welcome

Near the Front

Hi People!

The Idea behind this work is just an attempt tho catch the atmosphere of an intense fight. I wanted to keep it mostly realistic so there is no huge battle. Instead like often seen, a lonely tank somewhere shooting at long-range targets.
I hope i´ve managed it to make it yet interesting, since real warpictures mostly dont show much action.

The initial sketch was done with a pencil on A4 paper. Rest of the Work done in Photoshop with around 40 reference pictures for color and mood. Also some Matte elements like the mountain village in the background.

Crits and Comments of all sorts are welcome

Mid Tec Future CIty

This Picture is my first attempt of drawing a Concept Art like future City. Primary it was a playground for me to learn some basic shading techniques and just to see where to start improving my skills, since i didnt have much time to draw & paint over the last 4 years beacause of my School.

I started with a ballpoint pen sketch drawn on a 7x2.5 cm canvas because i didnt want to spend much time with geomoetry design etc.

So what about the motive of the Picture? I would describe it more as a Mid Tec Future City, not too advanced in technological evolution. I didnt think much about Building Design and just started to draw some hi-tec like Buildings and Street System. Its just an intuitive result of what my head gave me as idea when i said to it "Ok, lets start with a Future City"

Finally i think i can be satisfied with the final Image, though its far away in quality from many masterpieces ive seen here at CG Talk, but ill keep practicing.

Say about it what you want, im happy about every critique and comment hehe

Comment: The Grain that ive added to improve the overall look isnt visible in the Preview Image above, so please click at it to see it 100% original
